Dual Pricing & Affiliate Commissions

Overview

Dual pricing in Deposyt allows you to display one price for cash/ACH and a slightly higher price for card payments. Commissions for partners or affiliates are always calculated based on the base (cash) price, ensuring accurate payouts.

Follow the steps below to understand how dual pricing affects affiliate commissions in the Messages module.

Step 1: How Commissions Work with Dual Pricing

Commissions are always based on the base product price (cash price), not the higher card price.

Step 2: Example

  • Cash price: $100
  • Card price (dual pricing): $104
  • Affiliate commission: 20%

Result:

  • Affiliate earns $20
  • Not $20.80

Step 3: Why This Matters

Calculating commissions from the base price prevents:

  • Overpaying commissions
  • Confusion in reporting
  • Partners earning on processing costs instead of actual product value

Step 4: What Is Included in Commission

  • Product price
  • Subscription base amount

Step 5: What Is Not Included

  • Dual pricing adjustments
  • Surcharges
  • Taxes
  • Shipping
  • Tips

Step 6: Best Practices

  • Clearly explain dual pricing in your partner terms
  • Show base price vs total in order details
  • Keep commission tied to the actual product value

Summary

Dual pricing does not affect partner earnings. All commissions are calculated from the true product value, keeping payouts accurate, clean, and consistent.
